The Ranchview Band traveled to Frisco Centennial High School on Friday, April 20 to compete in the UIL Region 24 Concert and Sight-Reading competition.
The Ranchview Band earned 1st Division, Superior, ratings by all six judges at the competition. By earning 1st Division, Superior, ratings in both the Marching Competition (Fall semester) and Concert and Sight-Reading (Spring Semester), the Ranchview Band earned the coveted Texas Sweepstakes Award. This is the highest award that the State of Texas can bestow upon a band. This is the 6th consecutive year that the Ranchview Band has earned a Texas Sweepstakes Award.
These ratings mark the 19th consecutive 1st Division, Superior, ratings that the Ranchview Band has earned in the 2011-2012 school year. And, this also marks the 121st consecutive 1st Division, Superior, ratings that the Ranchview Band has earned since its inception.
