Barbara Bush Students Get Blue Ribbons at Theatre Arts Contest

Barbara Bush Middle School was well represented on the evening of Feb. 2, at the C-FB ISD annual WinterFest Contest. The event is the Theatre Arts’ equivalent to Music’s Solo and Ensemble Festival, held at R. L. Turner High School. All 16 performers came away with 18 Superiors / Blue Ribbons. This Fine Arts competition follows a format where participants are not competing against each other, they are competing against a list of criteria for which they can receive a “1” / Superior / blue ribbon, a “2” / Excellent / Red ribbon or a "3” / Good / White Ribbon. Each participant received a blue ribbon for superior work.
