On Nov. 17, Trojan Swim Team captain, senior JJ Echaniz, broke his own record in the 500 Freestyle competition as Newman Smith hosted Bishop Lynch. The Trojan boys won the meet 100-49, setting a winning record of 4 wins, 3 losses. Enchaniz also won the 100 Breast-stroke, while Adrien Lewis took the 200 IM.
Naomi Mizuno and Gerri Bergman, swimmers in the Trojan Girls' team, won the 100 Breast and 100 Back respectively, while Bryn Smernoff took two second place finishes. Jacki Brewer, who dropped time in two events to qualify for next week's Frisco Invitational. For her efforts, Brewer was named the team's fifth "Athlete of the Week."
