Turner Students Win Civic Participation Competition
A team of students from R. L. Turner attended the Annette Strauss School of Government sponsored Civic Participation Speak Up! Speak Out! competition. The team researched a student-chosen community problem, developed a proposal, and then defended that proposal before community judges at UTD in Richardson. The team identified the problem of cheating.  The team was awarded first place and received $300 to begin implementation of the proposal. Team members are sophomores Noemi Rosales, Valerie Fix, Karina Zuniga and freshman Michelle Park.
