C-FB was well represented at the District 16 Wrestling Championships last Friday.
As a team, the Creekview won the boys’ district championship.
Individually, Elijah Cook from Creekview was named the tournament’s outstanding male wrestler and Nina Machado from Turner was named the tournament’s outstanding female wrestler.
Creekview coach, Terry Wright, was named coach of the year.
In addition, C-FB had ten regional qualifiers who will be participating in the regional tournament in Arlington this coming weekend:

Nina Machado, District Champion, Girls’ 119 lb division
Heiley Garcia, District Champion, Girls’ 138 lb division
From Newman Smith:
Enya Hernandez, District Champion, Girls’ 102 lb division
JD Kennedy, District Champion, Boys’ 138 lb division
From Creekview:
Isaac Salinas, District Champion, Boys’ 132 lb division
Elijah Cook, District Champion, Boys’ 145 lb division
Isaac Bolivar, District Champion, Boys’170 lb division
Jorge Santos, District Runner Up, Boys’ 106 lb division
Bobbi Navarrete, District Champion, Girls’ 110 lb division
Leah Olquin, District Runner Up, Girls’ 119 lb division
Also, C-FB had some 2nd and 3rd place winners who are 1st alternates for regionals:
