Congratulations to Daisuke "Dennis" Takeda for earning a 4th Place Finish at the prestigious Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) today in Los Angeles!
Competing in the "Energy & Transportation Division" Takeda's project, "Algae as Biodiesel" propelled him into the award round against extremely talented science students from around the world.
The competition attracted 1,540 competitors from the USA and 65 nations.
It is the world's largest international pre-college science competition. It provides an annual forum for more than 1,500 high school students from 65 countries , regions, and territories to showcase their independent research.
The Intel ISEF is considered the premier global science competition for students in grades 9-12.
All science and engineering projects were judged by a panel composed of six Nobel Laureates.
Dennis is coached by chemistry teacher Karl Jones.
