Following yesterday’s regional meets, C-FB will be well represented at the 3A and 4A state track and field meets to be held in Austin on Friday, May 13.
At the 4A level, Newman Smith girls finished third as a team with the following state qualifiers:
Courtney Okolo - 1st place in 400m dash (54.85) and 1st place in 800m run (2:17.14)
1600m Relay Team comprised of Kaila James, Mia James, Adriana DelaRue, Courtney Okolo, and alternate Morgan Williams) – 1st place (3:49.67)
Newman Smith boys had Brett Wyatt qualify – 1st place in shot put (57’2-1/2”)
Creekview girls finished eighth as a team with Melissa Gonzalez qualifying for state in the 300m hurdles – 2nd place (43.20)
Kasie Trigg is state alternate in the high jump – 3rd place (5’4”)
At the 3A level, Ranchview girls finished fourth as a team and they had four state qualifiers:
Antonisha Stewart – 1st place 100m hurdles (15.27)
Shanice Randall – 2nd place 100m hurdles (15.51)
Kendall Cox – 1st place 300m hurdles (46.09)
Michaela Williams – 2nd place triple jump (37:08)
Ranchview boys had one qualifier:
Chris Wimby – 2nd place 400m dash (49.75)
Armstrong Nworka is state alternate in the 100m dash – 3rd place (11.02)
