Nine NSHS Trojans Selected as Academic All-State

Nine student-athletes from Newman Smith High School were selected Academic All-State by the Texas High School Coaches Association for 2012. The THSCA recently announced that eight seniors in the NSHS Football Program were selected Academic All-State (Honorable Mention) and one senior earned Academic All-State 2nd Team honors. The student-athletes were selected based on academic achievement for the 2012 academic year. To be considered for an Academic All-State award a student’s grade point average, test scores, and transcript (including advanced courses) are evaluated by officials from the THSCA.

Kevin Miller was selected Academic All-State, 2nd Team.
