Ranchview’s swimming and diving team officially opened the season at home, hosting Prosper along with the other C-FB high schools. While Prosper took the point win, the Wolves made highlights very early in the 5-month competition season.
Senior Sinjin Venegas won the 200 and 100 Free-style, while also winning the boys’ 200 Free-style Relay (featuring Venegas, Kazuomi Motoike, Eric Arumugam and Yooung Jeon). Venegas smashed the school record by 3 seconds, earning him the title “Athlete of the Week.” Additionally, Motoike won the 100 Back-stroke.
Lady Wolf Sarah Rovi was the top swimmer on the girls’ team, earning third in the 100 Free-style and second in the 100 Back-stroke.
