Congratulations to Central Elementary School teachers Eleanor Tumminello and Amy Romero for their innovative teacher grant, "Discovering Science through Technology," which was funded by the C-FB ISD Educational Foundation.
This grant (3,692) will be used to purchase iPad media devices. In the science class, students will use the IPad media devices to view and create science videos. These videos will enable students to improve their science vocabulary and further their understanding of science concepts while concurrently expanding their technology skills. Students will learn how to utilize the devices through lessons taught by the library media specialist during class or in the after school computer club.
