While most teams reaching the national platform meet on a
daily basis to work on projects and submit critical project points, our RC
Lions are limited to short once-a-week afternoons and occasional half day
Saturday meetings. This component to the competition school year makes winning
runner-up just that more rewarding. Our Lions also placed 1st in
Creative Engineering and 2nd in Team Presentations. They also
collected over $700 in cash winnings and a $200 Red Cat Volcano Exp Pro Car.
Their pit crew projects integrated mechanical & electrical
engineering while fabrication of an RC Car body added elements in aerodynamics,
design and Solid Works 3D CAD modeling.
Participating students: Seth Bullis, Carlos Lopez, Faustino
Rocha, Jessica Le, Margarita Herrera, Zeeshan Parpia, Redish Raguthu,
Hermelinda Fernandez, Josh Weese, Cesar Ultrera, and Sam DeLacerda. I would
like to personally thank Mrs. Mansoureh Tehrani and Mrs. Georgeanne Warnock for
their generous support throughout the year.
The RC Lions team advisor is Jose Guerrero.
