On Dec. 5, Will Richey from JourneyManInk visited Central Elementary
with musician Alejandro “JP” Perez. They spoke to 4th graders in the
library about ‘feeling’ words and how they can use the power of words to
express their feelings in writing and in speaking. Through song and
word exercises, students talked about how different situations made them
feel. The students were given time to write creative stories about an
event they remembered, using techniques they learned through the
workshop, and then volunteered to read their stories to the class.
