RLT FFA Students Catch Calves for Cash

Congratulations to Jackie Harvey-Campos and Michael Lawler for catching and haltering a calf at the 2012 RodeoHouston  Calf Scramble. These RLT FFA students will receive a $1,250 certificate to be used for the purchase of a registered breeding beef heifer, breeding dairy heifer or market steer.

According to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo press release, "In 2013, the students will return with his/her scramble project to the Houston Livestock Show™ for a special competition and a $250 bonus from his/her donor. Prior to the 2013 Show, exhibitors have the opportunity to compete in the Calf Scramble Progress Show as a means of judging their calf’s progress prior to showing at the Houston Livestock Show."
