Ranchview swimmer Sinjin Venegas broke his own school mark in the 500 Free, then teamed up with Kazuomi Motoike, Eric Arumugam and newcomer Tyler Rozelle to smash the school record in the 400 Free Relay as Ranchview played host to Bishop Lynch this week. The boys’ team won its first dual meet of the season by the slimmest of margins (60-59). Venegas also won the 200 Free and Motoike was third in the 100 Back. The girls’ team lost to Bishop Lynch 126-44, but Sarah Rovi won the 500 Free and became the second Wolf to qualify for the 4A TISCA Championship in December. The team recognizes Madison Worrell for her continued improvement, which has earned her a trip to Frisco next weekend for the Frisco Invitational. Worrell was named the team’s fifth “Athlete of the Week”.
