Humanities Texas is pleased to announce that Brian Horn of Carrollton has been named a recipient of the 2011 Outstanding Teaching of the Humanities Award. Matt Jack, district communications and outreach representative for U.S. Congressman Kenny Marchant, and Humanities Texas Board Member Paula Peters
presented Dr. Horn with his award on Wed., Nov. 16, at Creekview High School.
Humanities Texas presents these awards annually to Texas classroom teachers who have made exemplary contributions in teaching, curriculum development and extracurricular programming. Nearly two hundred and thirty teachers across the state were nominated for the 2011 awards.
