Las Colinas Elementary Update: Bigger, Better and a World Map Wall!

In the 2003 bond passed by voters in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, money was established to renovate Las Colinas Elementary. Due to the foundation issues in the building, the Board of Trustees and district administration have decided to build a new facility on the existing site.
The new facility will be a two-story building with 39 classrooms totaling 89,000 square feet.  The campus will also feature larger classrooms and an additional 22,000 square feet of space. This newer and bigger facility will be a showcase featuring a World Map wall.  The cafeteria and stage facilities will be enhanced providing ample space for school meals and student performances.

The new facility will be finished June 1, 2014.  Demolition of the existing Las Colinas facility and completion of new site work is slated to be completed by August 15, 2014.

We appreciate the patience of parents and community members as we build the students of Las Colinas an outstanding learning-focused facility.  Parking and traffic might be impacted during the building process.

Northstar Builders will be using the unused district property near LaVillita Elementary to house construction supplies during the Las Colinas construction process.
