Troyanns Shine at Competition

The Newman Smith High School Troyanns recently competed at the ShowTime International’s Dallas Grande Finale at Lewisville High School. They performed “Shine On,” with both officers and the team receiving sweepstakes and the Judges’ Award for scoring a 90 or above from all judges on all three routines. The officers were named Best in Category for their lyrical and pom routines. The Troyanns were also named best in category for their pom, lyrical and jazz performances.  The team and officers were also awarded the Champions’ Circle award. A few of the Troyanns also entered the Kick Master Competition, with Abby Franks winning the title Senior Kickmaster Champion. Franks competed against 20 other high school competitors.
