Metropolitan Opera Singer Skypes With Blanton 3rd Graders

On Apr. 19, 3rd graders from Blanton Elementary engaged in a Skype call with operatic singer, Emily Pulley. Pulley has performed opera professionally for over 20 years, including over ten seasons with the Metropolitan Opera. Pulley treated students to a short piece by Puccini during the call. Students took turns asking the singer questions and Pulley answered, explaining how learning piano, guitar and flute in elementary school and middle school helped get her to where she is today.
