This and That Around C-FB ISD

April 2 Is A Holiday
Well, although we had lots and lots of snow this winter, C-FB ISD didn't use both of the bad weather days in this year's calendar so there's no school in C-FB ISD on Fri., April 2. All C-FB ISD campuses and district offices will be closed. Have a safe and fun-filled holiday. But, be back ready to learn on Mon., April 5.

Still Time To Register To Vote in May School Board Election
If you are not registered to vote, you have until April 8, and you will be able to vote in the local elections scheduled for May 8.

Applications are available at most county government buildings as well as public libraries and post offices. Applications may be found on the Dallas County Elections Department website or the Texas Secretary of State's website.

Remember there's is a C-FB ISD School Board Election on May 8. For information about that election, check out the election page.

Creekview PTSA Offering Job and Volunteer Fair
If you are a C-FB ISD student between 14 and 19 years of age or the parent of one, you need to mark your calendar for the Summer Job & Volunteer Fair on April 8.

The Creekview High School PTSA is hosting the event from 7:00 - 8:30 p. m. in the Creekview High School cafeteria, 3210 Old Denton Road, Carrollton. This free event is open to students, ages 14 - 19, from all four C-FB ISD high schools.

Lots of area businesses and organizations are coming. Here's the ones we know so far: Speed Zone, Family Video, Best Buy, Albertsons, City of Carrollton Aquatics, Metrocrest Social Services, Brainworks, Dogs Rule Resort, YMCA, Operation Kindness, and more plan to attend.

District - C-FB Night with the Frisco RoughRiders
How about some baseball? On April 11 at 4 p.m. at the Dr Pepper Ballpark, 7300 RoughRiders Trail, Frisco, there is a C-FB ISD Night with the Frisco RoughRiders.

The cost is $16 and includes:
*Seat in the Bullpen Section
*All-You-Can-Eat hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and Dr Pepper Products
*RoughRiders Baseball Hat
*PlayBall Game Program

Now this sounds like a lot of fun: Children 12 and under get to run the bases immediately following the game.

This flyer has all of the details.
