Six Years in a Row: Top Financial Rating

Most people are familiar with the annual ratings of “exemplary” or “recognized” that our campuses and school district receive from the Texas Education Agency. Many may not realize that Finance Departments receive annual state ratings too. That system is called School FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas).

For the sixth year, C-FB ISD received the “Superior Achievement” rating. That means the district demonstrated the highest level of fiscal management. Our Finance Department earned a perfect score. And, we’ve received the highest rating every year since that the system has been operational.

C-FB ISD has a long of history of strong sound fiscal management. Our district has been recognized on the state and national levels for quality financial reporting. The district also has a strong bond rating from Standards & Poors.

As our positioning statement says, “We do not compromise high expectations for students and staff.”

In C-FB ISD, student achievement is our number one priority. And, we have a great instructional team, but we have other departments who contribute to high student achievement. The Finance Department team is one such department. Those team members have high expectations of sound fiscal and operational management.

They are valuable members of the C-FB ISD: an innovative leader in learning.
