On Mar. 30, area high school art students submitted their work for the Farmers Branch Carrollton Art Association’s 2012 art competition at the Manske Library.
The following Senior portfolios were awarded scholarships:
First place, Alejandro Esquivel-Oliveros, Creekview received $700.
Second place, Trang Tran, Creekview received $500.
Third place Elaine Landi, Creeview received $300.
Single works of art awarded were:
Best of Show- Jamie Olivares for “Crow” – R. L. Turner – $100.
First Place- Hannah Revelle for “Looking In” – Creekview – $75.
Second Place- Adea Danley for “Bony” – Creekview- $50
Third Place- Phvong Tran- for “Tornado Kick” – Creekview – $25
Students receiving Honorable Mention:
Kelsey Baker “untitled” – Creekview
Alexandria Ashman ” Pirahna-Rex-Savrus” – Creekview.
The student artwork will remain on display at the Manske Library in Farmers Branch through Apr. 27.
