More about this award: Karen “Kandi” King retired from Winston Churchill High School in 2010 after one of the most successful coaching careers in the history of speech and debate. Ms. King dedicated her life to forensics and did much more than just help students win local, state and national championships, she helped students become better people. The presentation of the Kandi King Award for Excellence in Coaching is to a coach who not only helps students succeed in competition but in life.
