On Nov. 3, 2012, sixteen choir students from Creekview High School
participated in the TMEA Region 24 Choir Clinic and Concert at First
United Methodist Church in Grapevine, TX. The Mustangs placed into one
of the TMEA Region 24 choirs while competing against other students
from Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, Lewisville ISD, Frisco ISD,
Grapevine-Collyeville ISD, and Carroll ISD. The students performed over
the weekend under the direction of guest choral conductors Dr. Rick
Bjella from Texas Tech University and Ms. Denise Eaton from Sam Houston
State University. Ten students from the CHS choir were selected to
advance to the Pre-Area round of auditions in the Texas All-State Choir
audition process.
