On September 18, golfers gathered to honor NSHS graduate, Michael Ebanks at the MICHAEL EBANKS MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT. Michael was one of 12 Aggies that died in the bonfire collapse at Texas A&M in 1999. His classmates, friends and family gather each year to remember him at the memorial golf tournament in his name. Many schools from the area participated in the annual event at Indian Creek Golf Course.
