In May, the C-FB ISD Educational Foundation visited various campuses to award grants. Than you to the Foundation for their support of C-FB ISD!

Polk Middle School Creates DMA-like Experience

Polk Middle School built an exhibit in their foyer to mimic a similar exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art, in which the small 4-paneled room was filled with balloons. Students used geometry and other skills in building the exhibit and then guessing the number of balloons.

Las Colinas Elementary PYP Exhibition

On May 25, 5th grade students from Las Colinas Elementary IB World School held their PYP (Primary Years Programme) Exhibition. Small groups of students collaborated on a historic project with the central theme of "Where we are in time and place." Each group gave presentations to visiting students, staff and parents using visual aids, props and PowerPoint presentations as they taught their audience about the impact of the event or invention they studied had on a certain time period and how it affects us today.

Retiree Dinner 2011

Congratulations to the staff members who are retiring in 2011. These are the photos of the retirees who were able to join us for our 2011 Retirement Celebration. To our Retirees - Best of luck in your future endeavors and we will miss you! Thank you for your years of service to our district.

Bond Referendum 2003 - Good Elementary

Good Elementary will be getting a new campus in about a year - the new structure being built around the existing structure and the current building eventually razed and converted to a parking lot. Highlighting in these photos, low ceilings, narrow hallways and things that are here today and will be gone one day. The spot where some temporary buildings stood is now vacant.

Bond Referendum 2003 - Long Middle School

Recently Completed - re-sodding of athletic field at Long Middle School. Coming soon - new concession stand. Yeah!

Rosemeade Elementary Incorporates Geography on Field Day

On May 27, students from Rosemeade Elementary celebrated "Field Day - Passport Around the World."
The students "visited" various geographic locations represented by activity stations; Australia, Mexico, the Middle East, Switzerland, Ireland, Africa, the Bahamas, Greece, Italy, USA, and Iceland, where they engaged in physical activities representing the diverse cultures. The students learned fun facts about the geographic locales they visited as well as how each area is governed.

Good Elementary 5th Grade IB PYP Exhibition

On May 26, fifth grade students at Good Elementary IB World School held an exhibition for staff, students and visiting parents. Groups of students taught on subjects they studied.

Las Colinas Student Wins National PTA Award

Patrick Park, a student a Las Colinas Elementary has received an Award of Excellence from National PTA for his visual art entry entitled "The Earth Help." Congratulations!
